Due to a September 2019 Facebook update, access to posts and media for display on University website feeds is only granted to verified business accounts. The University's main Facebook page has undergone the process to obtain the required verification. This process must be completed by all Facebook accounts in order to display their contents on University website feeds. The process is as follows:
Account must become verified as a business.
Account must be a user of the University's UMiami-Social App on Facebook (instructions below)
Account must have "Sebastian Ibis" added as a page admin.
Note: Although Facebook has granted temporary access to some accounts and they may currently be displaying content on your feeds, this process must be followed in order to continue receiving updates.
Step 1
You must add "Sebastian Ibis" as an admin on your Facebook page. IMPORTANT! You will see multiple accounts for Sebastian Ibis. Please ensure the profile image on the account you grant admin access to matches the profile image on this page.
Step 2
Facebook: You must verify your Facebook page(s). Verify business account instructions.
Step 3
Instagram: Please ensure sure your Instagram account is set up as a business account. Once you set up your account as a business profile, you must connect your Instagram account to the verified Facebook page.
